Function

Step change sensor

• Measures the residual oxygen content of the exhaust gas.
• Generates a voltage of between approx. 25 and 900 mV corresponding to the oxygen content of the exhaust gas when warm (350 °C).
• Compares the residual oxygen content of the exhaust gas to the oxygen content of the ambient air.
• Detects the transition from rich mixture
  (air deficiency λ < 1) to lean mixture
  (excess air λ > 1) and vice versa.

Wideband sensor

• Measures the residual oxygen content of the exhaust gas.
• Ensures extremely accurate measurement in both the rich and the lean range. It has a broader measuring range
  of 0.7 < λ < ∞ (air).
• Also suitable for use in diesel and gas engines.
